Friday Favorites

Happy Friday! Here are some of my favorite finds.

H&M Smocked Bandeau Dress $19.99 – I’ve had my eye on this dress for a while but it’s not available online yet but available in my local store. I like the florals against the white and it’ll be perfect for the warm weather.

Kristin Ess Soft Bend Curling Iron – 2″ $60.99 – I was actually surprised how hard it is to find a 2-inch curling iron, so I was surprised Target had one. I like the color combination of this white and gold one. There is a plastic tip at the end that gives it more control if you needed to hold onto the top of the curling iron. The curling iron has a large diameter and it’s exactly as described–it gives hair a soft bend. It’s a soft pretty curl without the obvious curl definition.

Dr. G Green Mild Up Sun Plus SPF50+ PA++++ Mineral Sunscreen for Sensitive Skin $19.00 – Ever since my favorite sunscreen was exposed to be of lower protection than SPF50, I’ve been looking for an alternative and so far, I’m really liking this one. I do find it to be mattifying so I always moisturize generously before applying. If you have very dry skin, you may find it a bit too drying.

myQ Chamberlain Smart Garage Door Opener $29.98 – My husband is very absent-minded so when I saw this, I knew it would be a good idea. We’d drive off and a few minutes later, he’ll ask me if he closed the garage door. Amazon is also running a promotion where if you try their in-garage delivery, you’ll get a $40 credit, so the unit was essentially free along with an extra $10 credit. The promo code KEY40 is good for a limited time, so check it out if you’re interested.

Sanditon (Season 1) Free with 7 day trial on Amazon – I can’t believe I didn’t watch this sooner. I saw that the show was renewed for seasons 2 and 3, so had to watch season 1. I’ve seen most of the adaptations of Jane Austen’s novels and if you’ve enjoyed previous adaptations on PBS, you’ll enjoy this one too. There are only 8 episodes, so I binged through them in one day. I’m eagerly waiting for seasons 2 and 3. While there are different streaming sites to watch this, I just signed up for the PBS Masterpiece 7-day free trial on Amazon. I’ll have to remember to cancel before my 7 days are up.

While I’ve seen most of the Jane Austen adaptation, I just realized, I have yet to read any of her books. I think I’ll add some of her books as part of my 2021 reading goal.

Have a wonderful weekend!
