Friday Favorites

Happy Friday!  Here are some of my latest finds that have brought me joy!  Hope they’ll bring you some joy too!

Kodiak Power Cakes Flapjack and Waffle Mix ($4.99 at Target) – These are protein pancakes, but they actually taste good–like regular pancakes.  I use milk instead of water and add an egg for additional protein.  I also add a splash of vanilla extract.  These are so good that my picky eaters can’t even tell the difference.  My middle daughter is super picky and is the first to notice if something is off.  If I pick up regular milk instead of organic, she will be the first to tell me how the milk tastes off.  She can’t tell the difference with these pancakes.  It tastes good as is, but if you want to feel like you’re vacationing in Hawaii, add in some chunks of mashed ripe bananas and some macadamia nuts into the batter!

Fat Mascara Podcast – I’ve been binge-listening to their podcasts since discovering them.  They talk about all things beauty and I’ve learned so much.  If you are a beauty product junkie, check them out.  At the end of each episode, they raise a wand to a product that they like.   I actually learned about the Kodiak Power Cakes from one of their episodes.

Kelly Ventura Wirebound Planner in Mimosa ($12.99 at Target) – I know that most of our plans involve staying home so a planner is probably not a priority.  But if you’re like me and like to write things down in a planner, this print really drew me in.  It reminds me of Sorrento Lemons from the Amalfi Coast.

Blackwing Matte Pencils ($24.95) – Yes!  I know!  These are expensive for pencils, but the lead on them is nice and soft, so it sharpens to a super pointy tip.  They are so comfortable to write with and great for sketching as well.  If you are into pencils, you will understand.  You can read about their cult following here.

Rose Succulents – My lovely friend gifted me this beautiful “bouquet” of mini succulent roses. It’s so pretty!  They’re difficult to find,  but I did find some for sale on Etsy.  You can type in “Rose Succulents” or “Greenovia”.   Unfortunately, I can’t vouch for any of the sellers since I didn’t purchase this from there.  I did try to purchase some seeds before and they didn’t germinate so make sure you read the seller’s reviews.

Have a great weekend!
