Lately, I’ve noticed my nails getting weaker and they’ve started to split. The hand sanitizers and constant handwashing due to COVID-19 certainly aren’t helping the problem either. The top layer of my nail was splitting from the bottom and was thinning out my nails. Also, the side edges of the nail were splitting too. It’s hard to do anything except to carefully trim it so it doesn’t snag on anything. Otherwise, it can snag and rip out a piece of the nail.
While at Costco, I happened upon the supplements call Hair, Skin, and Nails. Although it promises to strengthen hair, skin, and nails. I was really only interested in the effect on my nails.
As you can see from the above photos, my nails were no better than before. After ten weeks of taking the supplements, I saw no improvement to my nails. I had about the same amount of splitting as before.
- Smell and taste horrible. It leaves a bad after taste so eat something afterward to rid your mouth of the nasty taste
- The color of the softgels is a metallic pink, which is not aesthetically pleasing. I don’t know why it needs to be this color.
- You have to take 3 softgels daily.
- I really can’t think of any
I can overlook all of the above cons if the product actually worked, but unfortunately, it did not. I was disappointed because I had high hopes for it since it got great reviews on costco.com.
I understand everyone reacts differently to products, so these supplements are no different. At least they were only $15.99 for 250 softgels, so not a big investment.
I’ve already ordered the Hard As Hoof Nail Strengthening Cream. I’m hoping this will yield better results. I’ll document and review it after a few months of usage.
